Legitimacy

Someone told me recently that after reading my Marimite entries, he’s going to give the show a chance and watch it in the near future.

One would think that my entries would only appeal to those who already watched the show, but obviously that’s not true. If there are others out there who have also been touched by my gospel (not just Marimite, although it’s really hard to make a case for any other show that I covered), I give you a big thumbs up. You give lk.com some semblance of legitimacy, for which I thank you. This feeling of importance reeks of more awesomeness than I can possibly handle. Could this be the stepping stone that I need to ascend into that highly coveted status of bona fide Internet Celebrity??? Only time will tell.

Maybe I’ll write about Girls Bravo – Second Season (which starts on January 27, 2005) and see if I can get anyone to watch that piece of shit.

In other news…

Lately, I’ve been replaying old Final Fantasy games in Japanese. At my current level, it’s very easy to understand what they’re saying. That shouldn’t come as a surprise because these games are for kids after all.

Here are some screenshots from Final Fantasy VI, which I first played back in 1994. Back then, I played the shit out of the Japanese version multiple times on my Super Famicom with a Korean gaming magazine’s bare-bones (though they were nice enough to give a summary of the story) walkthrough. To think that it’s my second favorite game behind Marvel, despite my incomplete experience with it, should be a testament to how great this game really is.

Ten years ago, the text was a bunch of squiggly lines and all sorts of other illegible shit but now it’s like reading English. Unfortuantely, I never played the American version of this game so some of my observations may be a decade too late.

My goodness, Celes is a defensive little bitch.

I don’t know how this conversation goes in the American version but it can’t be as bad as this.

And what lk.com entry would be complete without frontal nudity!!!!!????
