I got my annual notice last week from godaddy.com saying that the domain name lovelykitsune.com will expire in 30 days. I’m not sure if I feel like renewing it.
My 3 year deal with my webhost is also nearing its end and that is something I’m definitely not renewing. Unfortunately, I do not know exactly when my hosting ends. I’m pretty sure it lasts until the end of the calendar year. I could conceivably go with a different hosting company so there is still some hope left for this site. No matter what I end up doing, though, there WILL be downtime.
What does this mean? In my eyes – absolutely nothing because the site has been dead for months. This is just a heads up for those who still visit on a regular basis. This affects the BBS, too, but that goes without saying.
So, yeah, the site might or might not be gone in a couple of months. If it does stay online, it might get a complete overhaul or I could be back to my old habits (of not posting). I thought about buying a different domain and starting a personal site but the thought of blogging about myself is equally terrifying as the notion of blogging about anime.
One thing that’s 100% certain is that Marimite OVA episode 1 will be out in November. Stay tuned for that.
My favorite show this season is Muteki Kanban Musume (Higurashi fell off for me after the kejime episode). It’s one of the biggest pleasant surprises ever. Nabatame Hitomi doesn’t get nearly the respect that she deserves in Japan or elsewhere. Aside from her talent, she’s also an awesome person. If you ever get the chance, listen to/watch her in interviews. She doesn’t give boring, cookie-cutter answers (Noto Mamiko) nor is she under the perpetual influence of recreational pharmaceuticals (Shimizu Kaori).
Out of the shows that I’m watching, my least favorite is Tonagura! by a significant margin. Binbou Shimai Monogatari won’t win any Emmys either but at least it has its own brand of Third-World-country appeal. You can’t laugh at a pervert, you can only hope to contain the rampant jealousy you feel towards his rambunctious sexual horseplay.
