Happy birthday to me!

These things get worse every year. I’ll write more about what I did last weekend after I come back from work in about 20 hours.

Okay, so it’s January 20th now and I realized that there was nothing really interesting to write about, so I’ll just list what I did. Enjoy.

  • I shot free throws and did horribly. I shot a worse percentage than my age (28). That’s some sad shit
  • I played $40 worth of scratchers.
  • I ate ribs at Mr. Cecil’s in LA, which is a close second to Phil’s BBQ in San Diego. I do have to give some dap to Mr. Cecil’s for putting real bacon pieces in their beans, though.
  • I went into an adult bookstore for the first time in my life. I felt dirty because only serfs and lepers pay for porn these days. It is worth mentioning, though, that I probably contracted leprosy by touching some of those magazines in the bookstore, which fucking sucks because I didn’t buy anything.
  • I smoked some Hookah in Westwood, which was fun until they sealed the doors, the disco lights came on and Middle Eastern remixes of American pop songs started blaring.
  • I saw a burlesque show in Hollywood. Waiting until 12:45 AM sucked but the show was definitely the highlight of the night.

More about the Scratchers – A friend bought 40 tickets for me at a liquor store. So as we were waiting for the clerk to get more tickets for us, a couple of young men of presumably ill morals, with a young lady of equal ill morality, came in with a bunch large bills.

At first, I thought they were a bunch of teenagers trying to scam the cashier by giving him counterfeit bills. After observing the transaction some more, it seemed like the cashier already knew them and that this was a routine process. I also noticed that the stack, which was folded, was bigger than my fist. I think you can guess where that money came from.

I felt like doing some drugs after I left the liquor store. The reason being that I am obviously not doing something right by remaining sober. I mean, who doesn’t want to play for the winning team?

I won $17 from the $40 worth of Scratcher tickets, in case anyone wanted to know.
