AIR – Episode 3

「こえ -whisper-」

Why are there so many scenes that take place at night? It’s hard to take good screenshots when everything is so goddamn dark. I squarely place the blame on a certain fashion disaster of a drama queen named Kano. That whole bandana-on-the-wrist thing is so tacky and it just screams “I HAVE ISSUES!” Oh, she has issues alright. They’re so severe that she gets ANOTHER episode next week! =(

Well, at least she’s better than Minagi… and I can complain even more when Minagi gets her moment (multiple episodes) in the sun. Joy!

AIR – Episode 2

「まち -town-」

One thing I noticed about this anime is that it wastes no time, which is good. Everything happens so damn goddamn fast, which is still okay. Unfortunately, the anime spends too much of its “unwasted time” on Kano and Minagi, which is bad (you’ll see why later). It looks like they decided to make the anime as rushed and nonsensical as possible, just like how I predicted. This makes me happy because I like being right.

AIR – Episode 1

「かぜ -breeze- 」

Entries for this show will be minimalistic (not for this episode, though). Why? Because I already know what happens.

AIR is considered, in some circles, to be the greatest story ever told in a video game. If past experiences (Kanon, Shigetsutan Tsukihime, Kiminozo, etc.) have taught me anything, this means that AIR will be one of the most rushed/confusing/nonsensical stories ever told in an anime. It’s amazing how that supposedly simple conversion from H-game to anime always works out. In any case, I will remain utterly pessimistic until someone proves me wrong.

So the story begins with Yukito being a bum. Misuzu finds him and takes him home. Haruko lets him stay as long as he looks after Misuzu. Blah blah blah… Minagi and Kano are fuckin crazy… blah blah blah… Goddamn, I hate introductory episodes.

I’m only watching this show because of Misuzu. She’s the greatest thing to happen to anime since Osaka. However, my main objective for these entries is to keep track of the show’s most vital statistic (shown below).

You think I’m joking? You’re talking to the guy who covered a show using only 10 words per week. Everything is a joke to me!
