According to a listener on Animelomix – Higurashi no Naku Koro ni Koborebanshi Hen, if you listen to the HAMDEUYUAUYAUNEB (or something like that) part of the Higurashi OP backwards, you hear the word nigerarenai (逃げられない or “you can’t run away”).

Is it true? I’ll let you be the judge of that.

Who needs Mamiko?

In the sixth installment of Sukuran Off-kai (An interview segment in the School Rumble 2nd season DVDs), the guest (Fukui Yukari – Sara) brings up the fact that the host (Shimizu Kaori – Akira) does a great imitation of Yakumo.

Does she do a good imitation? YES! Is her portrayal of Yakumo better than Mamiko’s? YES! Is that even possible to gauge objectively? PROBABLY NOT! BUT IT WAS PRETTY FUCKING GOOD!
